First Make a Backup of your Switchvox! We mean it. Its easy, quick, and painless.

You can start by downloading the latest version of the software by going to the Switchvox update page by clicking the link, or manually going to www.switchvox.com -> Customer Center -> Upgrades and Patches (under Customer Support on the right side). At the next page you will need to choose which version of Switchvox you currently have installed (SMB or SOHO). For this example, we'll look at the SMB update page. The SOHO's page should look very similar. Click the download link on the latest version to save the update file to your computer.

Note: Make the download destination somewhere that will be easy to find for the next step, like your Desktop.

Once the download is complete, access your Switchvox Administration Tools (https://your.PBX.ip/admin). Navigate to Machine Admin -> Updates. Browse for the update file that has been downloaded to your Desktop, then click Update once it is selected. The automated process will begin and your machine should have the latest software version once the process is completed. This could be a few minutes or up to an hour.
