If Asterisk will not start and/or exits with a core dump/segfault and any of the following error messages, you probably have your zaptel configured incorrectly.

    ERROR[1151]: chan_zap.c: mkintf: Unable to get parameters

    chan_zap.c: Unable register channel type Zap

To fix this error make sure your zaptel.conf and zapata.conf match, and are configured correctly.
