  1. Check to make sure that the correct power supply is connected to the IAXy.

  2. Verify the username and password on the IAXy is the same as the information in the iax.conf that the IAXy is registering to.

  3. Use iax2 debug in the asterisk console to see if the IAXy is sending REGREQ and the Asterisk server is sending a REGAUTH back to the same IP address that the IAXy sent the REGREQ from.

  4. If you see an INVAL returned or the iaxy constantly retries REGREQ, verify that the Asterisk server is sending the REGAUTH from the same IP address that the IAXy is trying to register to using 'tcpdump -ni port 4569'.

    • If the asterisk server is sending REGAUTH from a different IP address than what the IAXy is sending the REGREQ to, then try one of the following:

      1. Set the IAXy to register to the other IP.

      2. Rearrange the order of the ethernet modules so that the default interface will send as well as receive from the IAXy.

      3. Possibly set the bindaddr variable in iax.conf to the IP address that the IAXy is attempting to register, which should force the computer to send the REGAUTH from the binded address.

      4. Try configuring IP tables.
