Some servers (e.g. the Dell Poweredge 2800 and 2850) don't have a molex connector. If populated with any FXS modules, the card does require power through the molex connector. It is possible to use a power source external to the machine (parts might run $50 or so). A 10 W/4 A power supply should suffice for a single TDM2460. It is safe to have external power running to the card even when the machine is powered off.
Battery voltage: ~24VDC Ringing voltage: ~48VAC Ringing voltage w/boostringer=1: up to 89VAC
